Though I am still fresh of being offended from your previous post, thanks for the explanation. As to why the horn was not compensating, i do not know. Most of his tubas are so that is in question....
but the Marzan does has a manual ring used by the left hand on the 4th valve to compensate the sharpness of the low notes. I also believe he may have elongated the length that one can pull the slide for this reason. Is this the "trombonism" that you speak of?
