Seriously, do you really believe that quibbling over the technical merits of a recording made long ago can have any effect on the level of respect the tuba currently receives as an art form? I think that argument is specious. There are things on that recording that any tuba player can learn from hearing. Your characterization of the level of playing on this recording as "good amateur" is one I cannot accept.
