This makes me wonder, however, if equal temperament is intended as a solution to the limits of 18th and 19th century engineering, why don't our fancy keyboards and synthesizers have the ability to automatically render intervals as true? It seems, that while not entirely simple, it should be prossible with less chorsepower than an xbox game system uses.
Could it be that our ears don't want to hear just intonation now that they've been exposed to more than two centuries of equal temperament?
Just my mindless idle musing...
