I agree that it would be possible for such an instrument to be created. However it is on the assumption that there is a "right" way for something to be played. It would assume that the artistic musical outcome is predetermined. With a chess game there is a determined goal, to win. One of the beauties of some musical instruments is that you can adjust notes at will, and that everytime you play a piece it you can play based on your emotions at that time. Perhaps if they made a keyboard where each individual key has the ability to bend that note and that note alone, you'd have an instrument with more musical expression. You'd have a keyboard that the musician could control the outcome rather then the keyboard controlling the musician.
