This is not sour grapes, but, I think it only fair that you tell the BBS readers about the Army's weight restrictions. I would hate to see a kid get all excited and show up at the audition and have someone tell him that he/she will have to lose X number of pounds to make it through basic training. This is a HUGE deal to the Army. As and ex-bandsman, I can tell you many wonderful players were s*&t apon because of their appearence and weight. I believe the Army is a wonderful career, but I think you need to let everyone know about EVERYTHING that is involved in the gig. I hope you would elucidate the younger people on exactly how important the Army deems the PT test!!!!! Please tell Mitch Spray I said hello. Have Peace.
