DO NOT buy a BAT for your first tuba! You gonna use that in quintet, or toplay the Vn Wms? I LOVE big tubas, but they REALLY are only good for big orchestra (7-8 basses; 10-12 cellos) or in band. If you want a good all around tuba, get something 4/4 sized for now.
