When is the last time that you disassembled, vigorously cleaned, and serviced your tubas or euphoniums? Did you find anything that was not supposed to be in there?

Me:

163 CC: one year, and found one of my nephew's Legos (a soft rubber tire less that .5" diameter) that was apparently rolling around in the body between the top bow and the next branch in for a week or so. Caused no problems whatsoever. Go figure.

621 F: last week, and a-okay.

180 F: last night, and it was full of "horn flakes" and such.

Customer King Sousaphone (at work): two days ago, and removed a complete bird skeleton with feathers. This is the second time that this has happened to me. Maybe I ought to lobby Congress about the ornithological hazards of marching band. Ugh . . .
