I've been playing tuba for about a year now, but I am extremely serious about it. I really want to get good and possibly get into college with it. I have learned on a BBb tuba, and I am fairly expedient on it. NOw, I've heard that CC or F tubas are more popular in college bands, plus I've also heard you can't get as good tuning on the pedal register notes, unles you ahve 4 valves and compensator tubing. Basically, I would like some info on the things I've talked about and if you have the knowledge-which would be better: Piston valves or Rotary valves. Thanks.
