Well, after reading anonymous complaints about a vaguely-cloaked repairman, my best advice is to effect all of one's own repairs in the future. After all, there is such a surplus of qualified people out there, that it is silly to pay someone to repair dropped-on-the-floor pistons, dents next to valve casings, dents in valve casings, gig-bag-smashed bells and bottom bows, etc. Discretion should NEVER be exercised by anyone, and we should all only do those things that we are told to do, particularly if we are told to do them by those who are not quite sure what we do in order to follow their instructions.

Of course, the manufacturer is the true "magician". Seemingly, since the manufacturer has all of the "specs" on file for each instrument (dents, gaps, solder blobs, rough seam interiors, bits of tar, etc.), one could simply have the "blueprints" emailed or faxed in, refer to them, and rebuild accordingly...

...or perhaps one could simply call upon the help of all of the professional acousticians here in the gallery for advice.

What a shame that such an exceptional instrument played by such an exceptional player has been forever ruined. Now those God-given talents will never be truly revealed to us, but perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.
