Hey Matt,

I was just wondering why the large majority of tubas that you have built from the parts of other horns (ie. York Monster Eb's converted to front action CC tubas, Dillon Conns, Dillon Bueuscher's, etc) are piston valve horns. I'm surprised that there aren't more cut horns or Dillonized horns that are rotary valve. Is it harder to work a rotary valve section into the design of a custom built horn? Are piston horns so in demand that it makes more economical sense to make them piston horns? Is there a different reason?

I would be very curious to play a Dillonized horn that is rotary valve. I bet it would be sweet!!!! :)

Thanks Matt!
