I have not tried a Conn 56J. I am presently playing a Meinl Weston 2145 with big valve set, and really like the sound and intonation. Do you have experience with both these instruments? If so, which do you feel is the better horn? It seems from many posts that the Conn 56J is a killer horn. What is a typical price for a lacquer 56J?
