I have a question—what are the physics of mouthpieces WRT mass of the mouthpiece? I notice the one listed a couple of posts below this one says it uses a 1.6 pound hunk of brass to manufacture the mouthpiece. What does that do to the sound/tone? I've followed some of the posts about mouthpieces previously (and learned a lot from them) but I haven't seen this topic addressed. Also, WRT buzzing, do I understand correctly that I must buzz the correct pitch or do I have to buzz in the right partial to get the right note by then depressing the correct valves?
