The version that Harvey recorded was arranged by someone in one of the military bands. The Connecticut Symphonic band managed to borrow the charts a few years ago, through someone who knew someone. Apparently the service bands all share libraries with each other. The parts were all in barely-legible manuscript. I put the solo part into my computer and printed out a neat copy for my own benefit, and saw to it that a copy of that went back to Washington with the originals. It's still the best solo for tuba & band that I know of, by far, although I did hear a recording of Artie Shaw doing it on clarinet, of all things...
