Well in all fairness - no one seems to have mentioned Yamaha's relatively new 1998 spec Maestro E-Flat 632 S. I picked one up last week after shopping around for the past 6 months and had it imported to South Africa for about UK 2800 pounds.... And this baby simply "blows" the competition away - in terms of superior piston action, sound stability and intonation. Sounds very at home in a brass and wind band, and tends to find a real niched for quintet work. Go on - try the yamaha out before you make a decision on a new horn...
