Yip - that would seem to be a big factor , I don't use the supplied yamaha 66D4 as the cup is a bit narrow and on the shallow side. 5 years ago I was told to try a Vincent Bach model 24 AW - ultra wide and the results were incredible... Try it perhaps ?
