Hmmm. Well, as an "intermediate-level American/consumer", let it be known to musical instrument manufacturers that I need to be able to play in tune with pianos, organs, marimbas, etc. that I encounter, so I will not be consumin' any brass instruments that will not allow me to play, in temperatures from 40 degrees to 90 degrees, intonation ranging from A=440 to A=442. Additional latitude in any direction is, of course, welcome -- but 440-442 is a must.
