But I'll admit that I HOPE there will eventually be enough people who see the value in pitching instruments consistently, so that they can be played together, that the instrument makers of the world will get their crap together. Then I won't have to steer clear of anything. In the meantime, I stand by my statement.
I will stipulate that this is an easier stance for us intermediate-level types to make.
