Hi;

This is my first posting here.

I recently joined the Tuba and Euphonium email list and have posted a new questions
there about getting back into tuba playing.

Charlie Krause of Woodwind and Brasswind suggested that the best four-valve rotary
BBb new tuba for $3000 price range is a VMS 2103. He suggested that I ask you guys if
you think that this is a good deal.

I really can't afford to spend much more than $3000 on a tuba (I know I need to get
some music too!) and I'd rather have a new tuba.

I've been reading the bad Miraphone 186 thread. I tried playing for about fifteen
minutes on a competitor's Miraphone (unknown model or year) about 20 years ago at an
honor band audition and I thought it was really neat! I was also lucky enough to play
(for about the same duration) on an unknown Yamaha.

What is the web site for the VMI company? Charlie spelled it out for me on the phone,
but I'm not able to get the URL typed in correctly.

Thanks,
Ken Wolcott
