I just did some very minor servicing on a just-retired military musician's "B&M Symphonic" 4/4 CC (4 pistons & a rotor). He bought it when stationed in Germany about ten years ago, and that probably explains why it doesn't have the D.E.G. U.S. import "Boem & Meinl" engraving.

I get chances to play different tubas, but there are also quite a few models I haven't played very much.

I judged this CC tuba to be an extraordinarily nice-playing/nice-sounding/very-easy-to-play-in-tune instrument. I can only assume that the old piston B&M-made Marzans and recently-made instruments stamped "Nirschl" play similarly well.

I noticed that Baltimore Brass has one of the BBb's for sale. Does the BBb play as nicely as the CC?...because the CC (that I tooted on after doing minor repairs) is very nice indeed.
