Alternate Fingerings

I am trying to work out a minor intonation problems on my new 5 (long 1st valve) rotary valve F tuba.

First of all, the horn has excellent intonation in general. I find, however, that the "D" below the staff is quite sharp, played 1 & 2. Even with just the 3rd valve, the note is sharp. I have tried 2 & 5, but since I am leaving the 5th valve slide out quite a bit to play low Bb & A well in tune, it would require a big push to get the "D" in tune (hard to do on the fly).

Are there any other ideas of alternate fingerings that I can try?

Thanks!
