Hi friends! Please help me out! I am a high school junior this fall and I am starting to consider what I am going to do with my life. I play tuba/Sousaphone and I REALLY am looking forward to being in University of Missouri-Columbia(Mizzou) marching band. Yet I am still going to have to major in something. I have been considering tuba performance, a high school band director, and recently band instrument repair. You can't study instrument repair at Mizzou. There are 3 schools in the country that you can study instrument repair. Should I go to Mizzou and then go to an instrument repair school. I was thinking that maybe I could major in something like music history or music theory. I just don't want to go to an instrument rerpair school for a year and then live my life. I think that some college education would be good for this musically related field. I am really interested in band instrument repair. You guys always give excellent advice, so any words of wisdom would be great!

Sincerely,
Kevin Eckelkamp
