You guys keep on telling me that I shouldn't polish the silver or brass, and that I should just let the brass oxidize and the silver tarnish, because otherwise I will wear away the brass. If you re-silver the horn, won't the silversmith have to strip away that oxidized brass anyway!! So what is the big freakin' deal if I polish the brass ONCE or TWICE a year? Please, I would be very interested to learn why, I mean, you guys are the "experts"? I just don't want to feel like I made a life-long, irreversible mistake by polishing a little brass, that's all! Thanks!
