I can vouch for this comment. I currently play a Kalison CC Daryl Smith model and I am not impressed with the horn. I bought it at a time when looks and other comments on their website made me judge the horn. I did not get a chance to try one out before I purchased one. When I got to college, and I receieve a little more knowledge about tubas and how to judge tubas, I found the horn to be tremondously stuffy, and the intonation to be quarky. I have heard from some people that is is purley luck with the consistancy of the horns. It all depends on if you get a good one or not.
