B.TILTZ NEA M-1

This is one of my mouthpieces. I like it.

It is unfortunately very pitted on the rim - deep (c. 1mm) pits, well through the silver plating into the brass. I used to try to put the worst pits horizontal so they'd be where my "corners" were and irritate me less. Then the m/p got dropped. Now it's just getting way too annoying, feeling like I have a sandpaper rim.

An instrument repairer was able to buff off areas (from the dropping incident) that were actually risen up above the general level of the silver plate). But he said it is not really possible to improve/fix the deeper pits (short of lathing down the whole rim surface, which he was reluctant to do, since it would make the whole mouthpiece shallower, and even if only by a mm, may change its properties).

My real question is:

What Perrantucci mouthpiece would be the closest in size, style to this B. TILTZ M-1 if I were to replace "ol' scratchy"????

Though it does seem a wonder that such pits cannot somehow be filled. Maybe I am just way too ignorant about mettallurgy and electroplating.
