Just for something different, I used one of those tuba cradles/stands (You rest the bottom bow of your tuba on it while you play.) on a gig. (I've never even tried one, before.)
It seems to me that the tuba made more racket, because it made less contact with my body and vibrated more.
Am I imagining stuff?
