I asked Matt from Dillon Music what the difference [for the money] between the 2 stands might be; he told me that the K&M was heavier and should last forever and that the DEG was lighter and would not last very long! I then ordered the K&M and have been quite pleased with it other than what the other posts mentioned: For my 186, the stand is just a trifle too tall. This I took care of by cutting the extra inch off the chrome stem where it sticks up above the sleeve and below the padded rest bracket.Problem solved! The stand is another thing to schlep around, yes, but well worth using. The padded rest is large enough and sufficiently non-skid to keep the horn in a great position.Try it--you'll like it!
