The scanning music thread below has me curious about the capabilities of music notation software to scan in works that I have purchased that were written for other instruments and convert them to bass cleff and transpose them on the fly. I know that some of you sticklers out there will simply say learn to transpose. That is not what I am asking, I neither have the time nor the inclination to develop this skill. I simply would like input from those who have used software to acomplish this task if adequate software currently exists ( if so please give the name and version). Or if it is currently more trouble than it is worth.
