I play in a local community band. I find that after a couple of minutes of playing a piece, the lower part of the mouthpiece rim gets wet and I can no longer maintain my embouchure. I begin to slide around, lose the seal, etc. I have to stop, wipe the mouthpiece rim, wipe the bottom of my lower lip, and then continue playing. I didn't even make it through the Star Spangled Banner last night before this happened. I use a silver-plated mouthpiece (Bach 18). The mouthpiece position seems OK; it even tilts down a bit. Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions?
