I found a very old 4 valve Eb Helicon on my vacation trip to Prague this summer. Now I'm in the process of restoring it to playable condition. The only inscription I can find on the horn is on the bell saying "Georg Krywalski TESCHEN Öst.Scles.". Which I guess makes it of Chech origin. Does anyone know more history based on those facts?
Another thing: The Helicon is bare brass that's turned brown, not very clean... Any tips on how I should clean it? Shall I leave the horn brown or try to polish it shiny?
