Yet you are profoundly right about the not too undecent lifespan of synthetic valve guides: It is a matter of normal carefulness!

I will with no hesitating be able to tell whether any brass instrument is owned by the player or by some organisation. One of the few points, where I might agree politically with the cited maverick-far-out-fundamentalist-rightwingish-almost-human-Mid-South-Joe, is, that responsibility is quite closely coupled to ownership.
