Reading the other post about airbags (the blow in kind), I got to thinking about straping my tuba into the front seat. Will one of those safety air bags dent the bell if it deploys and hits the bell area? I used to put the tuba with the bottom bow in the floor board area and the bell up in the seat back. Then I straped it in with the seat belt. Of course the trick is to avoid an accident anyway. I think I'll go laying it in the back seat with the bell side forward.
