FYI, not all collisions will result in the deployment of your vehicle's airbag. The electronic control systems typically use a variety of sensors to determine whether or not there is benefit to the occupant to deploy the bag. If, for example, you only have a "front" airbag (as opposed to side-impact bags), and your car is hit in the side, or rear, it is likely that the airbags will NOT deploy, as no protection results from the airbag. And, for front-end collisions, sufficient energy must be present in the collision for the airbag to deploy. So, for "low speed" collisions, your airbag will also likely NOT deploy. Yet some of these "low speed" collisions are fast enough that you really NEED your safetybelt fastened properly for adequate protection. Bouncing off a steering wheel at even 5mph will hurt! If you doubt this, try walking as fast as you can directly into a wall, to simulate this event. WEAR YOUR SAFETY BELT!
