I am considering having my king Eb sousaphone overhauled and replated also.The place I am considering going to is in wisconsin and is called Badger state repair.The price that They gave me break down as follows.Complete overhaul of the body-all dents scratches and corrosion removed.The horn is disassembled and stripped 2580$.They will do it in laquered brass if you want but the replating cost they gave me was for satin finish silver with bright highlights around the engraving was 625$.I recommend having the valves overhauled as well if you are going that far and they quoted me 240$ for that but mine has 4 valves so your'es might be less.Anyway that's my info that I have.They have horns on ebay if you look at the more expensive sousaphones and the seller is dop9.The phone number there is 262-723-4062.I have not dealt with them before but it looks like they do good work.
