The thread on Demon Dogs got me thinking about a little hole in the wall in Rochester, NY called Nick Tahoe's Hots. Their specialty was something called the "Garbage Plate". To be honest, I'm not really sure WHAT was in the darn thing, but it was sort of a cult thing. Needless to say, it was the greasiest meal I had ever had to that point in my life, but something about it was just irresistible (by the way..if you ever go there, DON'T eat the bread!!).
I'd be interested to hear what other greaseball joints the readership has has held dear to its hearts over the years.
I can already hear the "plop-plop-fizz-fizz" of Alka-Seltzer at work!
