As you know, I do not have gorilla-length arms, and would probably have to get the best valve system I can, and use that for notes I can't reach otherwise. I can reach 7th postion on a standard trombone, but it is a stretch. I think the higher wind pressure background is already intact, from playing horn. Thanks for the information.
Knowing that I like my German tubas and German French horn, are there any bass bone makers that come to mind?
