I have worked on the horns from Russia and the Tuba Exchange models and I can tell you that there is a big difference, Vince demanded tighter tolerances before he would sell them. The Russian models had terrible valves the back bearings looked like they had been drilled and not bored at all. They had probably .015 clearance and the linkage was horrible. The newest Tuba Exchange models are so much better , the linkage is better and Vince had George McCracken {french horn guru} inspect the valve tolerances.
