A friend owns a King sousa which is either a Jumbo 1270 or an oddball 1250-B. I learned how to identify the difference after I played the horn a while back so I'm not sure which it is although I lean toward the Jumbo. Unfortunately, he does not have the proper neck (leadpipe) and it doesn't take the standard King made today-(seems to need a bigger neck). A repairman/technician made him a neck but the horn sounds terrible with it. Otherwise the horn is in great shape, valves ok, etc. 2 questions: 1) what are the playing characteristics of a King Jumbo sousa that has correct parts and 2) would anyone happen to have (and be willing to sell) an original neck for one of these beasts.
