The first movement of the Beversdorf has a number of things that can say a lot about the abilities of a potential student including tone quality, flexibility, and articulation. It is a piece that should be played a little more often than it is. Some good audition pieces include:
Haddad: Suite for Tuba
Hindemith: Sonate
Marcello: Sonata No. 1 or No. 5

I would suggest contacting the teacher at each school to find out what pieces they want to hear. The lists at some music schools are just a suggestion while others they may be more mandatory.
