I just listened to my cd of "Pictures" again, I think it's the Berlin Radio Symphony, and on Bydlo, the tuba/euph player does a little gliss up to the G#. I've heard versions that simply slur up, and to be honest I think I liek the gliss more. It adds a little bit more "meat" to the tune.
Thoughts? Comments?
