will have you to go through the C. G. Conn/Sousaphones/36K route of links ending up with a report on the present day Conn 36K being a .687" bore, standard (that is long) stroke valves instrument.
The link below leads to a report of the then 36K being a .734" regular (that is also long) action valves instrument.
The same page tells that the fiberglass equivalent of the .734" short action valves all brass 20K was called the 22K.
