Based upon the removal of my earlier post, in which I suggested that the buyer be certain that the horn is not stolen, I'm concerned that my wording might have misled someone as to my meaning. I want to be VERY clear that I know NOTHING about this particular horn. If I gave ANYONE the impression that I specifically think that it IS stolen, please accept this apology. I was only saying that, if the horn is only 5 years old and in perfect condition, the seller surely would know that the price is REALLY low, so I would have a heightened sense of awareness. To be sure, legitimate bargains do come along, and I have no specific reason to believe this isn't one of them. But *IF* it were stolen, not only would the honest tuba player not WANT to buy it, but the rightful owner could reclaim it, and the buyer would just be out the purchase price. As such, I'd double check it, unless the seller is above reproach.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding from earlier.

Joe Baker, who really hopes he isn't guilty of spreading rumors.
