For those screws, I just found the right size screwdriver(small) and tightened them down and haven't had any problems with it. I have tried different MP's and what I'm using now is a Conn Helleberg. I tried a Miraphone C-4 and a little smaller version of it, the 21. I don't have enough money to try out a bunch of MP's. Besides I go with what fits me best, not the horn. I really am thinking about getting on to a horn that suits me more now. Good luck with yours.
