Art, the serial number should be stamped on the outside of the CD. All S/N's are unique to each CD. You can't just enter any number from another Finale program. The software checks to make sure the number you enter is the same one that's imbedded within the software. You can try the Coda music site at: http://www.codamusic.com/coda/
