My experience with Willsons is that they are as dark and flexible as they come. Have you considered sending your horn to a repairman competent enough to work on the issues you have with the horn? I've heard of a few guys that can do wonders with a horn like you describe (can't think of the names, but I'm sure others will provide them). That route might prove more fruitful and less expensive than trading on a new horn. Also, it sounds like you're using a top notch mouthpiece, but it still might not be the one for you. Try a little experimenting.
