This part is most assuredly a euphonium part. Also, you might want to get the Torchinsky book anyway because the original part is in a weird transposition (bass clef, in B) and Abe includes a transcription of the part into bass clef in C. In any event, tell your partner to get ready for a hell of a ride. I'm looking at the part and it covers a range of high Bb (an octave over the staff) down to low Bb (the one just below the staff) and also has a real juicy low B-natural. You probably won't want to use an F tuba for this part because the scoring really lends itself to the smaller horn. And don't forget, both you guys will need mutes! Have fun.
