It's not Dave if he's wearing a 1AD patch, Chuck. There are a bunch in theater, but I am positive he's not in my old unit. 1AD does draw the short straw most days. Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo, now this. Just to post it, we use(d) mostly MW (and I think one ancient Miraphone) tubas. Durable, rather inexpensive, and they take one heck of a beating before they give! And with the 1AD located near Wiesbaden when they are home, Mainz is right around the ecorner if we need work on the horns. They did a great job of tossing fifth valve on a 25 for us.
You would be upset if you could see your old office at Little Creek (86-87). The tuba instructor is at the far end of the building and they have let the place go.
