I carry two mouthpieces with me when I travel, both in mouthpiece pouches, and then in a seperate, zippered bag. The only problem I've had was on my last trip. The x-ray equipment supposedly didn't show them clearly enough, so security went through everything in my carry-on bag, it great detail. I took about 15 minutes, altogether. I asked the security guard what triggered such a detailed inspection, and he informed me that it was my mouthpieces. He suggested that in the future, I remove them from my carry-on and put them through the x-ray machine seperately. Otherwise, I have had no problems at all, and I fly quite frequently.
