One more thing... My own advice would be to avoid trying to do this with an F tuba. Too much of your playing will be down in the range where F tubas tend to have poor response and require lots of awkward cross fingerings. Of course, there are exceptions. Tony Granados sounded fantastic using an F tuba when he played for the Lexington Brass Band. Consider, though, that Tony could manage to sound great on a leaky Pan American Eflat peashooter.
