Hi Joe!
They seem to have fixed a good many of the intonation quirks on the newest incarnation of these horns. Having grown up a neurotic slide puller of the highest degree, I never find myself needing to touch the slides on the Rudy.
This horn had a design makeover a short while ago, and they have worked out a lot of bugs.
I will agree that Miraphone seems to be doing better with the 186 and that these are pretty solid horns as well!
