That's funny, I'll have to remember "Al Cass Slow"! I must have gotten hold of some older, dried up Anhydrous Lanolin because I can't imagine cutting mine with a thickening agent (like Bee's Wax). The substance in my tub is SO thick, (how thick is it?) that if it were any slower it would be a solid. It is about the consistency of peanut butter but it is alot denser. And I'm pretty sure it doesn't make as good of a sandwich spread. Of course, my tub is also something like 15+ years old, maybe 20, and it could just have thickened over time. So maybe my recommendation should have been for aged Anhydrous Lanolin. So now, does anybody know what constitutes a good year for this stuff??? When, exactly, were the sheep at their peak?
